We saved the Children of Israel from their humiliating torment 30 from Pharaoh, who ranked high in sin, 31 and We chose them, out of a knowledge, above all beings, 32 and gave them signs wherein there was a manifest trial. 33 Yet those who deny the truth say, 34 "There is no dying for us but once; and we shall not be raised again. 35 Bring back to life our fathers if what you say is true". 36 Are they, then, better than the people of Tubba and those before them, whom We destroyed because they were truly lost in [the same] sin? 37 And We did not create the heavens and the earth, and all that is between them, just for play. 38 none of this have We created without [an inner] truth: but most of them understand it not. 39 Truly, the Day of Decision is the appointed time for all of them, 40 The Day when Maulan (a near relative) cannot avail Maulan (a near relative) in aught, and no help can they receive, 41 except those to whom Allah shows mercy. He is the Most Mighty, the Most Compassionate. 42
