The warnings came to the people of Pharaoh. 41 They cried lies to Our signs, all of them, so We seized them with the seizing of One mighty, omnipotent. 42 Are your infidels better than these? Or is there an immunity for you in the Writs? 43 Or do they say: "We are a great multitude, and we shall be victorious?" 44 Soon shall this legion be routed and shall turn their backs and flee. 45 Aye! the Hour is their appointed term, and the Hour shall be far more grievous and far more bitter. 46 Surely the guilty are in error and distress. 47 The day when they are dragged on their faces into the Fire: 'Taste now the touch of Sakar!' 48 We have indeed created all things by a proper measure. 49 It takes only a single command from Us (to bring the Day of Judgment) and that can be achieved within the twinkling of an eye. 50 We have indeed destroyed many a people like you. Is there anyone who would receive admonition? 51 All their deeds are recorded in the Scrolls; 52 Every matter, small and great, is on record. 53 [Hence, too,] behold, the God-conscious will find themselves in [a paradise of] gardens and running waters, 54 In the seat of honor with a most Powerful King. 55
