Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ When the Sky is cleft asunder; 1 And when the stars shall be scattered, 2 And when the oceans are swept away. 3 and when the graves are overturned 4 Each soul will know what it had sent ahead and what it had left behind. 5 O man! What has deceived you about your generous Lord 6 who has created thee, and formed thee in accordance with what thou art meant' to be, and shaped thy nature in just proportions, 7 In whatever Form He wills, does He put thee together. 8 No indeed; (the fact is that) you deny the Reckoning, declaring it a lie; 9 But verily over you (are appointed angels) to protect you,- 10 Illustrious scribes 11 who know whatever you do. 12 Indeed, the righteous shall (live) in bliss. 13 and the wicked shall be in the Blazing Fire. 14 They will [enter to] burn therein on the Day of Recompense, 15 And never therefrom will they be absent. 16 And what will make you know what the Day of Recompense is? 17 Again, what could let you know what the Day of Recompense is! 18 It will be a Day when no human being shall be of the least avail to any other human being, God [alone] will hold command on that Day. 19
