The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By oath of the heaven, and by oath of the nightly arriver. 1 And what can make you know what is the night comer? 2 - The piercing Star! 3 There is no human being but has a protector over him (or her) (i.e. angels incharge of each human being guarding him, writing his good and bad deeds, etc.) 4 Let the human being reflect that from what he has been created. 5 He is created from a gushing fluid 6 Proceeding from between the backbone and the ribs: 7 Surely He is able to bring him back 8 The Day when secrets will be put on trial, 9 So man will neither have any strength nor any aide. 10 By the heaven with its recurring cycle of rain, 11 by the earth cracking open with new growth. 12 That this (Qur'an) is a decisive word 13 and is no idle tale. 14 They (disbelievers) plot every evil plan, 15 and I too am devising a guile. 16 Give respite to the disbelievers and leave them alone for a while. 17

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
