Hizb 46
< random >
And Yunus was most surely of the apostles. 139 when he fled like a runaway slave onto a laden ship. 140 cast lots, and was among the losers. 141 [and they cast him into the sea,] whereupon the great fish swallowed him, for he had been blameworthy. 142 Had he not been one of those who glorify Allah, 143 he would certainly have remained inside the fish until the Day of Resurrection. 144 ۞ but We caused him to be cast forth on a desert shore, sick [at heart] as he was, 145 and We caused to grow over him a tree of gourds. 146 Then We sent him to a hundred thousand or more, 147 And they believed; so We gave them enjoyment for a while. 148 So ask their opinion: “(Are you convinced) that your Lord should have daughters and you should have sons? 149 Or created We the angels females while they were present? 150 No indeed! It is one of their fabrications when they say: 151 "God has begotten (children)?" They are liars indeed! 152 "He has chosen daughters in preference to sons"! 153 What ails you that you judge in such a wise? 154 Will you not then reflect? 155 Or, is there for you a clear warranty 156 Then bring ye your Book (of authority) if ye be truthful! 157 And they have invented a blood-relationship between Him and the Jinns: but the Jinns know (quite well) that they have indeed to appear (before his Judgment-Seat)! 158 Purity is to Allah from the matters they fabricate. 159 except for God's sincere servants. 160 Therefore you and all what you worship. (The disbelievers and their deities.) 161 Not against Him can you cause (any) to fall into trial, 162 except him who shall roast in Hell. 163 And there is none of us but has an assigned place, 164 And most surely we are they who draw themselves out in ranks, 165 Lo! we, even we are they who hymn His praise 166 They used to say before: 167 "If we had had with us a Book like that of the people of old, 168 We would be single-minded slaves of Allah. 169 But (now that the Quran has come) they disbelieve therein (i.e. in the Quran and in Prophet Muhammad SAW, and all that which he brought, the Divine Revelation), so they will come to know! 170 And surely Our word has gone forth respecting Our servants, the messengers: 171 will certainly be victorious 172 and that Our hosts shall triumph. 173 So turn away from them for a while. 174 See them and soon they shall see. 175 Do they want to hasten Our punishment? 176 But when it descends in their territory, then evil is the morning of those who were warned. 177 So turn (O Muhammad SAW) away from them for a while, 178 and see; soon they shall see! 179 Glory be to thy Lord, the Lord of Glory, above that they describe! 180 And peace be unto the sent ones. 181 and praise be to God, the Lord of all the Worlds. 182
Almighty God's Truth.
