We also bestowed Our favour on Moses and Aaron: 114 and We delivered both of them and their people from the great calamity. 115 And We succoured them so that they became overcomers. 116 and We gave them the Manifesting Book, 117 and guided them upon the Straight Path. 118 And We perpetuated (praise) to them among the later generations. 119 Peace be with Moses and Aaron. 120 Thus indeed do We reward those who do right. 121 They are among Our faithful devotees. 122 And verily, Iliyas (Elias) was one of the Messengers. 123 (Call to mind) when he said to his people: “Will you not fear Allah? 124 Do you call on Baal, and abandon the Best of creators? 125 God, your Lord, and the Lord of your fathers, the ancients?' 126 But they gave him the lie: and therefore they will most surely be arraigned [on Judgment Day,] 127 except the chosen servants of God. 128 And We left for him among the posterity: 129 'Peace be upon El Yaseen' 130 Verily, thus do We reward the Muhsinun (good-doers, who perform good deeds totally for Allah's sake only - see V. 2:112). 131 he was among Our believing servants. 132 And Lut was most surely of the apostles. 133 We rescued him and his whole family, 134 Except an old woman (his wife) who was among those who remained behind. 135 Then We destroyed the rest [i.e. the towns of Sodom at the place of the Dead Sea (now) in Palestine].
