Q (Qaaf)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
Qaaf. By the Glorious Koran! 1 But nay - they deem it strange that a warner should have come unto them from their own midst; and so these deniers of the truth are saying, "A strange thing is this! 2 "When we are dead and have become dust (shall we be resurrected?) That is a far return." 3 We already know how much of them the earth takes away: With Us is a record guarding (the full account). 4 In fact, they have rejected the truth that has come to them, thus, they live in confusion. 5 What, have they never observed the heaven above them, (and seen) how We built and adorned it, leaving no crack? 6 And the earth! We have spread it out, and set thereon mountains standing firm, and have produced therein every kind of lovely growth (plants). 7 A vision and a reminder for every penitent slave. 8 We also sent down blessed water from the heaven, wherewith We caused gardens and harvest-grain to grow, 9 And the tall palm-trees having spadices closely set one above another, 10 A sustenance for the servants, and We give life thereby to a dead land; thus is the rising. 11 Denied before them (i.e. these pagans of Makkah who denied you, O Muhammad SAW) the people of Nuh (Noah), and the dwellers of Rass, and the Thamud, 12 and Aad, Pharaoh and the brothers of Lot, 13 And the dwellers of the Wood and people of Tubba'. Each of them denied the apostles. So My threat became a reality. 14 Were We then worn out by the first creation? Yet they are in doubt about a new creation. 15
