By the moon, 32 And the night when on the wane, 33 and the dawn when it is white, 34 That (Hell) is surely one of the greater (signs), 35 As a warning unto men, 36 To him among you who wishes to go forward or remain behind. 37 Every soul is mortgaged for its own deeds. 38 Save those who will stand on the right hand. 39 Sitting in the gardens, asking 40 concerning the sinners, 41 What led you into the Scorching Fire? 42 They said, “We never used to offer the prayer.” 43 “Nor used to feed the needy.” 44 "But we used to talk vanities with vain talkers; 45 And we have been belying the Day of Requital. 46 till the Certain came to us.' -- 47 The intercession of the intercessors will be of no benefit to them. 48 Why then do they turn away from the admonition 49 As if they were alarmed donkeys 50 running away from a lion? 51 Nay, everyone of them desires that he should be given pages spread out (coming from Allah with a writing that Islam is the right religion, and Muhammad SAW has come with the truth from Allah the Lord of the heavens and earth, etc.). 52 No indeed; but they do not fear the Hereafter. 53 Never so, as this is a reminder. 54 So, whoever wills, will remember it. 55 And what advice will they heed, except if Allah wills? Only He deserves to be feared, and His only is the greatness of forgiving. 56
