The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the sky and the night comer - 1 How will you comprehend what the night star is? 2 It is the shining star -- 3 There is not a soul but over it is a keeper. 4 So man must consider from what he has been created. 5 He is created from a water dripping, 6 That is issued from between the backs and the ribs. 7 God has certainly power to bring him back (from the dead). 8 A day when the secrets will be examined. 9 He will have no strength or helper. 10 By oath of the sky from which comes down the rain. 11 And by the earth which splitteth, 12 Verily! This (the Quran) is the Word that separates (the truth from falsehood, and commands strict legal laws for mankind to cut the roots of evil). 13 it is no merriment. 14 They are cunningly devising, 15 And I am plotting a plot. 16 So grant the unbelievers a respite: let them alone for a while. 17
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
