The dwellers in the wood (of Midian) denied the messengers (of Allah), 176 Behold, Shu'aib said to them: "Will ye not fear (Allah)? 177 I am for you a faithful Messenger, so fear you God, and obey you me. 178 so fear God, and obey me. 179 And I do not ask you for it any payment. My payment is only from the Lord of the worlds. 180 ۞ Fill up the measure, do not be among the cheats, 181 “And weigh with a proper balance.” 182 do not defraud people of what is rightfully theirs; and do not spread corruption in the land. 183 And fear Him who created you and all the earlier people." 184 They said, “You are under a magic spell.” 185 "Thou art no more than a mortal like us, and indeed we think thou art a liar! 186 “Therefore cause a part of the sky to fall upon us, if you are of the truthful.” 187 Shuayb said: "My Lord knows well all what you do." 188 They rejected him, and then had to suffer the punishment of a day of overshadowing gloom. That was indeed the punishment of an awful day. 189 Verily in that is a Sign: but most of them do not believe. 190 But, verily, thy Sustainer - He alone - is almighty, a dispenser of grace! 191
