The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

Woe to every slanderer and backbiter. 1 Who collects wealth and [continuously] counts it. 2 Thinking that his wealth would make him last for ever! 3 Never! He will certainly be thrown into the Crushing One. 4 And what will make you realize what the crushing disaster is? 5 Fire of Allah, Kindled, 6 Reaching right into the hearts of men, 7 Lo! it is closed in on them 8 in its long columns of flames. 9
