Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By the winds sent forth in swift succession, 1 Then by oath of those that push with a strong gust. 2 and by the scatterers scattering (rain) 3 by (the angels) who make a clear distinction between right and wrong 4 by those who bring down the reminder, 5 [promising] freedom from blame or [offering] a warning! 6 surely that which you are promised is about to fall! 7 So when the lights of the stars are put out. 8 And when the sky is split apart. 9 and when the mountains are scattered like dust, 10 The Messengers will receive their appointments. 11 For which day were they appointed? 12 For the Day of Decision. 13 And what knowest thou what the Day of Decision is? 14 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 15 Did We not destroy the men of old (for their evil)? 16 Then did We follow them up with later ones. 17 Thus do We deal with the Mujrimun (polytheists, disbelievers, sinners, criminals, etc.)! 18 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 19 Did We not create you from an insignificant drop of fluid 20 Which We placed in a depository safe. 21 For a known term? 22 For We do determine (according to need); for We are the best to determine (things). 23 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 24 Have We not made the earth a receptacle 25 For the living and the dead. 26 Have We not placed high mountains upon it and filled you with sweet water? 27 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 28 Depart to that which you belied! 29 Go to the shadow with three ramifications, 30 [But having] no cool shade and availing not against the flame." 31 it indeed throws up sparks like castles, 32 As if they were Jimalatun Sufr (yellow camels or bundles of ropes)." 33 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 34 On that day they will not be able to speak, 35 nor shall they be given permission, so that they can apologize. 36 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 37 This is the day of decision: We have gathered you and those of yore. 38 So if you have any ploy, try it against Me! 39 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 40
