The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
CONSIDER the bright morning hours, 1 And by the night when it is stillest, 2 Your Lord has not taken leave of you, [O Muhammad], nor has He detested [you]. 3 And the Hereafter is indeed better unto thee than the life present. 4 And soon will thy Guardian-Lord give thee (that wherewith) thou shalt be well-pleased. 5 Did He not find you (O Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) an orphan and gave you a refuge? 6 And He found thee wandering, and He gave thee guidance. 7 And found you in need, so made you prosperous? 8 Therefore do not treat the orphan with harshness, 9 And do not drive the beggar away, 10 And keep recounting the favours of your Lord. 11
True are the words of God the Almighty.
