O (you) Messengers! Eat of the Taiyibat [all kinds of Halal (legal) foods which Allah has made legal (meat of slaughtered eatable animals, milk products, fats, vegetables, fruits, etc.)], and do righteous deeds. Verily! I am Well-Acquainted with what you do. 51 Your nation is but one nation, and I am your Lord, therefore fear Me. 52 But their nations broke their tasks into pieces; every group happy with what it has. 53 Wherefore leave thou them in their bewilderment for a season. 54 Do they think that what We extend to them of wealth and children 55 We hasten unto them with good things? Nay, but they perceive not. 56 Surely they who from fear of their Lord are cautious, 57 and believe in His messages 58 and those who associate naught with their Lord 59 And those who give what they give and their hearts fear for they have to return to their Lord. 60 These are hastening on to good, and they are therein foremost. 61 We charge no soul with more than it can bear. We have a record which clearly shows the truth and they will not be wronged. 62 But their hearts are covered with confusion over this, and they have [evil] deeds besides disbelief which they are doing, 63 But when We seize with the punishment those of them that live in ease, they groan. 64 Cry not for succor this day; surely you shall not be given help from Us. 65 My Signs were rehearsed to you and you turned back on your heels and took to flight, 66 Stiff-necked, discoursing thereof by night, reviling. 67 Should they not think upon the saying? Or, did anything come upon them that had not come upon their ancient forefathers? 68 Or did you not recognize your Messenger and, thus, denied him (Muhammad) 69 Do they say he is possessed? Rather he has brought them the truth, but most of them are averse to the truth. 70 Had the truth followed their caprices, the heavens and the earth and whosoever in them is had surely corrupted. Nay, We brought them their Remembrance, but from their Remembrance they turned. 71 Or dost thou [O Muhammad] ask of them any worldly recompense? But [they ought to know that] recompense from thy Sustainer is best, since He is the best of providers! 72 Assuredly thou art calling them to a straight path; 73 but, behold, those who will not believe in the life to come are bound to deviate from that way. 74 ۞ And even were We to show them mercy and remove whatever distress might befall them [in this life,] they would still persist in their overweening arrogance, blindly stumbling to and fro. 75 (They are such) that We seized them with chastisement (and yet) they did not humble themselves before their Lord, nor do they entreat 76 So that when at last We open up the gate of severe punishment on them they will be overwhelmed with despair. 77
