Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ Nay, I swear by the Day of Resurrection; 1 Nay, I swear by the accusing soul (that this Scripture is true). 2 What, does the human think We shall never gather his bones? 3 Nay, We are able to put together in perfect order the very tips of his fingers. 4 In fact man wishes to commit evil in front of Him! 5 He asks, "When is the Day of Resurrection?" 6 But when sight is confounded 7 The moon eclipsed, 8 and the sun and moon are brought together, 9 On that Day shall man say: whither is the fleeing. 10 But nay: no refuge [for thee, O man]! 11 The only place of refuge will be with God. 12 To man will be declared on that Day that which he hath sent on and left behind. 13 nay, man shall be a clear proof against himself, 14 Even though he were to put up his excuses. 15 Move not thy tongue therewith that thou mayest hasten therewith. 16 We shall be responsible for its collection and its recitation. 17 When We have recited it, follow its words attentively; 18 We shall be responsible for its explanation. 19 Nay, (ye men!) but ye love the fleeting life, 20 and are heedless of the Everlasting Life. 21 How many faces will be refulgent on that Day, 22 gazing towards their Lord. 23 And some faces, that Day, will be Basirah (dark, gloomy, frowning, and sad), 24 Knowing that there will be made to befall them some great calamity. 25 Nay! When it comes up to the throat, 26 and the angels say, "Who will take away his soul, 27 And he will conclude that it was (the Time) of Parting; 28 And one leg will be joined with another: 29 On that day, the herding will be only towards your Lord. 30
