He Frowned ('Abasa)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
۞ The Prophet frowned and turned away 1 Because there came to him the blind man. 2 But what could tell you that per chance he might become pure (from sins)? 3 Or be admonished, so that the admonition might have profited him? 4 As for him who is not in want of any thing, 5 to him thou attendest 6 though you will not be questioned even if he never purifies himself. 7 but as for him who came unto thee full of eagerness 8 And hath fear, 9 From him you are distracted. 10 No indeed, this is a Reminder; 11 So whoever wills, let him pay attention to it. 12 On honourable pages. 13 exalted and purified, 14 In the hands of scribes 15 Noble and righteous. 16 Accursed is man. How ungrateful is he! 17 From what thing doth He create him? 18 From a drop of seed. He createth him and proportioneth him, 19 and then made the course of life easy for him, 20 Then gave him death, so had him put in the grave. 21 Then, when it is His Will, He will raise him up (again). 22 Yet man declines to do His bidding. 23 Let the human reflect on the food he eats, 24 [how it is] that We pour down water, pouring it down abundantly; 25 and let the earth to break open 26 And cause the grain to grow therein 27 And grapes and herbage, 28 and olive trees and date palms 29 And gardens of dense shrubbery 30 And fruit and grass - 31 For use and convenience to you and your cattle. 32 But when there comes the Deafening Blast 33 On the day when a man fleeth from his brother 34 Mother and father, 35 And from his wife and sons. 36 for on that day everyone will be completely engrossed in his own concerns. 37 on that Day some faces will be beaming, 38 laughing and joyful, 39 And many will be dust-begrimed, 40 Dust shall cover them 41 Those, they are the unbelievers, the immoral. 42
