The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
۞ Glorify the Name of your Lord, the Most High, 1 Who has created (all things) proportionately, 2 who has ordained and guided, 3 And Who bringeth out the (green and luscious) pasture, 4 and then made it into a blackish straw. 5 By degrees shall We teach thee to declare (the Message), so thou shalt not forget, 6 save what God wills; surely He knows what is spoken aloud and what is hidden. 7 And We will ease you toward ease. 8 Therefore remind, if the Reminder profits, 9 in mind will keep it he who stands in awe [of God,] 10 but the most wretched shall avoid it, 11 who will roast in the Great Fire, 12 Wherein he will neither die nor live. 13 To happiness [in the life to come] will indeed attain he who attains to purity [in this world,] 14 And recites the name of his Lord and serves with devotion. 15 But no, you prefer the life of the world, 16 Although the Hereafter is better and more lasting. 17 This is surely in the earlier Books, 18 Writs of Ibrahim and Musa. 19
