And when thy Lord called Moses, saying: Go unto the wrongdoing folk, 10 “The nation of Firaun; will they not fear?” 11 'My Lord' he replied, 'I fear they will belie me 12 and "my breast is straitened and my tongue is not fluent; so send Aaron as well; 13 They also have a sin against me, and I fear they will slay me.' 14 [Allah] said, "No. Go both of you with Our signs; indeed, We are with you, listening. 15 “Therefore approach Firaun then proclaim, ‘We both are Noble Messengers of the Lord Of The Creation.’ 16 [Commanded to say], "Send with us the Children of Israel."'" 17 (Pharaoh) said: "Did we not cherish thee as a child among us, and didst thou not stay in our midst many years of thy life? 18 and you did the deed which you did. You are certainly ungrateful." 19 He said: I did it then while I was of those unable to see the right course; 20 "So I fled from you when I feared you. But my Lord has granted me Hukman (i.e. religious knowledge, right judgement of the affairs and Prophethood), and appointed me as one of the Messengers. 21 "And this is the favour with which thou dost reproach me,- that thou hast enslaved the Children of Israel!" 22 Fir'awn said: and what is the Lord of the worlds? 23 (Moses) said: "The Lord and Cherisher of the heavens and the earth, and all between,- if ye want to be quite sure." 24 Fir'aun (Pharaoh) said to those around: "Do you not hear (what he says)?" 25 Said Moosa, “Your Lord and the Lord of your forefathers preceding you.” 26 The Pharaoh said, "The Messenger who has been sent to you is certainly insane". 27 Moses continued, "He is the Lord of the East and West and all that is between them, if only you would think". 28 (Pharaoh) said: If thou choosest a god other than me, I assuredly shall place thee among the prisoners. 29 Musa (Moses) said: "Even if I bring you something manifest (and convincing)?" 30 [Pharaoh] answered: "Produce it, then, if thou art a man of truth!" 31 So [Musa (Moses)] threw his stick, and behold, it was a serpent, manifest. 32 And he drew out his hand, and behold, it was white to all beholders! 33
