Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ When the sky is split, 1 And when the stars have fallen and scattered; 2 and when the seas burst beyond their bounds, 3 when the tombs are overthrown, 4 everyone shall know all his deeds, both the earlier and the later. 5 Human being, what evil has deceived you about your Gracious Lord, 6 who created thee and shaped thee and wrought thee in symmetry 7 having put thee together in whatever form He willed [thee to have]? 8 Yet you deny the Last Judgement. 9 And yet, verily, there are ever-watchful forces over you, 10 Honorable recorders, 11 Who know (all) that ye do. 12 The pious will surely be in heaven, 13 And the Wicked - they will be in the Fire, 14 roasting therein on the Day of Doom, 15 and then shall never come out of it. 16 And what will make you know what the Day of Recompense is? 17 Again would that you only knew how terrible it really is! 18 The day on which no soul shall control anything for (another) soul; and the command on that day shall be entirely Allah's. 19

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
