Al-Taareq

The Comet (Al-Taareq)

17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)

In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate

By the Sky and the Night-Visitant (therein);- 1 And have you understood what the nightly arriver is? 2 (It is a nightly radiant star). 3 Over every soul there is a watcher. 4 Let the human being reflect that from what he has been created. 5 He is created of water pouring forth, 6 That is issued from between the backs and the ribs. 7 Indeed, Allah, to return him [to life], is Able. 8 On the Day when secrets are disclosed, 9 Then will (man) have no power, nor any helper. 10 By the heaven which returneth, 11 and by the earth bursting with vegetation; 12 Most surely it is a decisive word, 13 And it is not amusement. 14 As for them, they are but plotting a scheme, 15 And I secretly plan. 16 So leave the unbelievers to themselves; respite them awhile. 17
