T H (Taa Haa)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
۞ Ta Ha. 1 We did not bestow the Qur'an on thee from on high to make thee unhappy, 2 Nay, it is a reminder to him who fears: 3 It is a sending down from Him who has created the earth, and the high heavens, 4 the Merciful willed to the Throne. 5 His is whatsoever is in the heavens and whatsoever on the earth and whatsoever is in between and whatsoever is underneath the earth. 6 And if you speak aloud – so He surely knows the secret and that which is more concealed. 7 God - there is no deity save Him; His [alone] are the attributes of perfection! 8 And has the story of Moses reached you? - 9 When he saw a fire and said to his family: "Hold on! I have just perceived a fire; perhaps I will bring a brand from it for you, or I will find some guidance at the fire about the way to follow." 10 But when he came to the fire, a voice was heard: "O Moses! 11 Indeed, I am your Lord, so remove your sandals. Indeed, you are in the sacred valley of Tuwa. 12 "I have chosen thee: listen, then, to the inspiration (sent to thee). 13 Verily I am God; there is no god but I; therefore serve Me, and perform the prayer of My remembrance. 14 Verily the Hour is coming - I wish to conceal it - in order that every one may be requited according to that which he hath endeavoured. 15 Do not let those who disbelieve in it and follow their desires bar you from it, or you will perish. 16 What is that in your right hand, Moses' 17 He replied, "It is my staff. I lean on it, and with it, I beat down the leaves for my flock; I also have other uses for it." 18 The Lord said, "Moses, throw it on the ground". 19 So he cast it down; and lo! it was a serpent running. 20 He said: Take hold of it and fear not; We will restore it to its former state: 21 And press your hand to your side, it shall come out white without evil: another sign: 22 for We shall show you some of Our greatest Signs. 23 Go to Pharaoh, he has become insolent' 24
