He Frowned ('Abasa)
42 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Stars (Al-Najm) before Destiny (Al-Qadr)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ He frowned and turned away 1 Because there came to him the blind man (i.e. 'Abdullah bin Umm-Maktum, who came to the Prophet (Peace be upon him) while he was preaching to one or some of the Quraish chiefs). 2 And what do you know, he may be of the pure! 3 Or be admonished, so that the admonition might have profited him? 4 As for him who is not in want of any thing, 5 You pay full attention, 6 though you are not to be blamed if he would not purify himself -- 7 And as to him who comes to you striving hard, 8 And he feareth 9 From him thou art distracted. 10 Nay! surely it is an admonishment. 11 So whoever wills, let him pay attention to it. 12 upon highly honored pages, 13 Exalted and holy, 14 (Written) by the hands of scribes- 15 Honourable and Pious and Just. 16 Woe to man! How ungrateful he is! 17 From what thing doth He create him? 18 Out of a drop of sperm! He creates and proportions him, 19 Then doth He make His path smooth for him; 20 Then He caused him to die and made him to be buried. 21 Then when He listeth, He shall raise him to life. 22 Nay, but (man) has not done what He commanded him. 23 Let Man consider his nourishment. 24 How We pour water in showers 25 and then We cleave the earth [with new growth,] cleaving it asunder, 26 then caused the grain to grow out of it, 27 and vines, and reeds, 28 Olives and dates, 29 and dense orchards, 30 and fruits and pastures 31 In order to benefit you and your cattle. 32 Then, when there comes As-Sakhkhah (the Day of Resurrection's second blowing of Trumpet), 33 upon the day when a man shall flee from his brother, 34 And his mother and his father, 35 And his wife and his children, 36 on that Day every man among them will have enough concern of his own -- 37 Many a face will be glittering on that day. 38 Laughing, rejoicing. 39 but others will be gloomy 40 enveloped by darkness. 41 These will be the unbelievers, the wicked. 42
Almighty Allah's Truth.

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
