Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
۞ WHEN THE SKY is split asunder, 1 And when the stars become dispersed, 2 And when the seas are flowed out, 3 when the tombs are overthrown, 4 A soul will know what it hath sent before (it) and what left behind. 5 O man! What has seduced thee from thy Lord Most Beneficent?- 6 who created you, formed you and proportioned you? 7 In whatever Form He wills, does He put thee together. 8 Nay! But you deny the Recompense (reward for good deeds and punishment for evil deeds). 9 But verily, over you (are appointed angels in charge of mankind) to watch you. 10 noble, recording, 11 who know what you do. 12 Most surely the righteous are in bliss, 13 And most surely the wicked are in burning fire, 14 [a fire] which they shall enter on Judgment Day, 15 to burn therein. 16 And what could make thee conceive what that Judgment Day will be? 17 Again, what will explain to thee what the Day of Judgment is? 18 It is a Day whereon no soul shall own aught of power for any soul; and the command on that Day will be Allah's. 19
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
