Indeed, We created the human. We know the whisperings of his soul, and are closer to him than the jugular vein. 16 Behold, two (guardian angels) appointed to learn (his doings) learn (and noted them), one sitting on the right and one on the left. 17 There is not a word he utters but an observer is ready (to make note of it). 18 And the intoxication of death will bring the truth; that is what you were trying to avoid. 19 and [in the end] the trumpet [of resurrection] will be blown: that will be the Day of a warning fulfilled. 20 And every soul will come, with it a driver and a witness. 21 'Thou wast heedless of this; therefore We have now removed from thee thy covering, and so thy sight today is piercing.' 22 His (angelic) companion will say, "(Lord), the record of his deeds is with me and is all ready". 23 (They will be told,) "Throw into hell every persistent disbelievers, 24 "Who forbade what was good, transgressed all bounds, cast doubts and suspicions; 25 who has set up with Allah another god. Indeed, you two, cast him into the terrible punishment' 26 ۞ His accompanying devil said, “Our Lord! I did not cause him to rebel, but he himself was in extreme error.” 27 He (Allah) will say: 'Do not dispute before Me. I sent you a warning beforehand. 28 “With Me, the decree does not change, and nor do I oppress the bondmen.” 29
