The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the heaven and the Morning Star 1 And what shall teach thee what is the night-star? 2 The very brightly shining star! 3 There is not a soul that does not have a guardian over it. 4 So man must consider from what he has been created. 5 He is created from a drop emitted- 6 which comes out of the loins and ribs. 7 God has certainly power to bring him back (from the dead). 8 On the day when hidden things shall be made manifest, 9 and he shall have no strength, no helper. 10 By the rotating heavens 11 And by the earth which splitteth, 12 the Quran is the final word, 13 And is not a matter of amusement. 14 They are cunningly devising, 15 And I am plotting a plot. 16 so bear with those who deny the truth, and let them be for a little while. 17
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
