In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
By (the angels) sent forth with the commands of God, 1 Then by oath of those that push with a strong gust. 2 by the scatterers scattering 3 then the criterion (the verses of Koran), separating 4 by those who bring down the reminder, 5 To complete the argument or to warn. 6 Verily that which ye are promised is about to befall. 7 Thus, [it will come to pass] when the stars are effaced, 8 and when the sky is rent asunder, 9 The mountains reduced to dust and blown away, 10 and the appointed time to bring the Messengers together arrives, (then shall the promised event come to pass). 11 For what Day are these (portents) deferred? 12 The Day of Judgement. 13 And what knowest thou what the Day of Decision is? 14 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 15 Destroyed We not the ancients? 16 So shall We make later (generations) follow them. 17 In this wise We do with the culprits. 18 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 19 Did We not create you from an insignificant drop of fluid 20 which We placed within a sure lodging 21 For a known calculated term. 22 For We do determine (according to need); for We are the best to determine (things). 23 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 24 Have We not made the earth to draw together to itself, 25 for both the living and the dead? 26 And made therein lofty mountains, and given you to drink of sweet water? 27 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 28 Depart to that you cried was lies! 29 Proceed to a shadow [of smoke] having three columns 30 wherein there is neither shade, nor freeing from the blazing flames 31 It will throw out sparks as logs of wood 32 As if they were yellowish [black] camels. 33 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth 34 That will be a Day when they shall not speak (during some part of it), 35 Nor will it be permitted for them to make an excuse. 36 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 37 'This is the Day of Decision; We have joined you with the ancients; 38 If you are cunning, then try your cunning against Me! 39 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 40
