Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
I swear by the emissary winds, sent one after another (for men's benefit), 1 by (the angels) as swift as blowing winds, 2 by (the angels) spreading (the words of God) far and wide, 3 separating one from another, 4 and those (angels) dropping, reminding 5 to serve as an excuse or a warning. 6 that which you have been promised shall be fulfilled. 7 Then the stars will lose their light. 8 and when the sky is rent asunder 9 And when the mountains are blown away; 10 And when the messengers' time has come... 11 for what Day has this been appointed? 12 For the Day of Decision. 13 How will you comprehend what the Day of Judgement is? 14 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 15 Did We not destroy the former peoples? 16 So shall We make the later ones to follow them. 17 Thus do We deal with men of sin. 18 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 19 Did We not create you from an insignificant drop of fluid 20 Then We lodged you in a secure place (the womb) 21 for an appointed term? 22 Thus We arranged. How excellent is Our arranging! 23 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 24 Have We not caused the earth to hold within itself 25 Both for the living and the dead, 26 And placed therein high mountains and given you to drink sweet water therein? 27 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 28 Proceed to that (the Day of Judgment) which you have rejected. 29 Go to the shadow with three ramifications, 30 Neither shading nor availing against the flame. 31 It will throw out sparks as logs of wood 32 like giant fiery ropes! 33 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 34 This is a day in which they will not be able to speak. 35 Nor will they be given permission to present excuses. 36 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 37 That is the Day of Judgement on which We have assembled you as well as all those who went before you. 38 So if you have a plan, plan against Me (now). 39 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 40
