Thorns (Al-Masad)

5 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Key (Al-Faatehah) before The Rolling (Al-Takweer)

In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful

May the hands of Abu Lahab perish, may he be ruined. 1 His wealth did not benefit him in the least, nor did whatever he earned. 2 Anon he shall roast into Fire having flame. 3 And his wife, the wood-carrier, 4 Around her neck is a rope of [twisted] fiber. 5

God the Almighty always says the truth.
