And verily it is a revelation of the Lord of the worlds. 192 It has been revealed through the trustworthy Spirit 193 Upon thy heart, that thou mayest be of the warners, 194 It has been revealed in plain Arabic. 195 And verily, [the essence of] this [revelation] is indeed found in the ancient books of divine wisdom [as well]. 196 Is it not a sign to them that the learned scholars (like 'Abdullah bin Salam who embraced Islam) of the Children of Israel knew it (as true)? 197 But [even] had We bestowed it from on high upon any of the non-Arabs, 198 So that he should have recited it to them, they would not have believed therein. 199 Thus have We caused this [message] to pass [unheeded] through the hearts of those who are lost in sin: 200 they shall not believe in it until they see the painful punishment 201 It will come upon them suddenly when they are not expecting it. 202 They will say, "Can we be granted any respite?" 203 Would they then wish for Our Torment to be hastened on? 204 Think! If We let them enjoy life for some years, 205 Yet there comes to them at length the (Punishment) which they were promised! 206 (How) that wherewith they were contented naught availeth them? 207 And We did not destroy any city except that it had warners 208 To advise; and We never oppress. 209 And [this divine writ is such a reminder:] no evil spirits have brought it down: 210 It behoveth them not, nor they can. 211 Indeed they have been banished from the place of hearing. 212 Therefor invoke not with Allah another god, lest thou be one of the doomed. 213 And warn thy tribe of near kindred, 214 and extend kindness and affection to those of the believers who follow you. 215 If they do not obey you, tell them: "I am not responsible for what you do." 216 And rely upon (Allah) the Almighty, the Most Merciful. 217 Who watches you when you stand up. 218 or move during your prostration with the worshippers. 219 Lo! He, only He, is the Hearer, the Knower. 220 Should I tell you on whom the devils descend? 221 They come down to every mendacious sinner, 222 who readily lend ear [to every falsehood,] and most of whom lie to others as well. 223 And the poets -- the perverse follow them; 224 Do you not see that they wander about bewildered in every valley? 225 and how they say that which they do not? 226 Except those who believe (in the Oneness of Allah Islamic Monotheism), and do righteous deeds, and remember Allah much, and reply back (in poetry) to the unjust poetry (which the pagan poets utter against the Muslims). And those who do wrong will come to know by what overturning they will be overturned. 227
God the Almighty always says the truth.
