Prostration (Al-Sajdah)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
A. L. M. 1 The revelation of the Scripture whereof there is no doubt is from the Lord of the Worlds. 2 Will they say: he hath fabricated it? Aye! it is the truth from thy Lord, that thou mayest warn therewith a people unto whom no warner came before thee, that haply they may be guided. 3 It is Allah Who created the heavens and the earth and all that is between the two, in six days, and then He established Himself on the Throne. You have no guardian or intercessor other than He. Will you, then, not take heed? 4 He rules (all) affairs from the heavens to the earth: in the end will (all affairs) go up to Him, on a Day, the space whereof will be (as) a thousand years of your reckoning. 5 He is the knower of the Unseen and the Visible, the All-mighty, the All-compassionate, 6 Who hath made everything exceeding good which He hath created. And He originated the creation of man from clay. 7 Then He made his progeny of an extract, of water held in light estimation. 8 then He shaped him, and breathed His spirit in him. And He appointed for you hearing, and sight, and hearts; little thanks you show. 9 They say, "When we are lost in the earth, how can we then be recreated?" Indeed, they deny they will ever meet their Lord. 10 ۞ Say: The angel of death who is given charge of you shall cause you to die, then to your Lord you shall be brought back. 11
