We also bestowed Our favour on Moses and Aaron: 114 And We delivered them and their people from (their) Great Calamity; 115 And We succoured them so that they became overcomers. 116 And We gave them the Book which helps to make things clear; 117 And guided them to the Right Path; 118 And We left for them [favorable mention] among later generations: 119 Salamun (peace) be upon Musa (Moses) and Harun (Aaron)!" 120 Verily, thus do We reward the Muhsinun (good-doers - see V. 2:112). 121 Indeed they are two of Our high ranking, firmly believing bondmen. 122 And Ilyas was most surely of the apostles. 123 when he said to his people, 'Will you not be godfearing? 124 Would you call on Baal and leave the best of creators, 125 Allah, your Lord and Lord of your forefathers? 126 But they denied him [Iliyas (Elias)], so they will certainly be brought forth (to the punishment), 127 But not the servants of Allah, the purified ones. 128 And We left (this blessing) for him among generations (to come) in later times: 129 Salamun (peace) be upon Ilyasin (Elias)!" 130 That is how We reward those who do good. 131 Verily, he was one of Our believing slaves. 132 And Lot too was one of the Messengers. 133 Behold, We delivered him and his adherents, all 134 Except an old woman, who became of those who stayed behind. 135 then We destroyed the others, 136 Verily, you pass by them in the morning. 137 And by night: will ye not understand? 138
