The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
I CALL TO witness the chargers, snorting, rushing to battle before the others, 1 Then those striking sparks of fire, 2 rushing to assault at morn, 3 Then thereby raise dust, 4 Then penetrate to the centre of the enemy army. 5 Surely Man is ungrateful to his Lord, 6 And indeed, he is to that a witness. 7 Surely, he is ardent in his love of wealth. 8 ۞ Does he not know,- when that which is in the graves is scattered abroad 9 And the secrets of the hearts exposed, 10 Verily, that Day (i.e. the Day of Resurrection) their Lord will be Well-Acquainted with them (as to their deeds), (and will reward them for their deeds). 11
God the Almighty always says the truth.
