Say, [O Muhammad], "My Lord, if You should show me that which they are promised, 93 “Therefore my Lord, do not group me with the unjust.” 94 Indeed, We are able to show you that which We promised them. 95 Repel evil with the best deeds; We well know the matters that they fabricate. 96 And say: 'O my Lord, I take refuge in Thee from the evil suggestions of the Satans, 97 And I seek refuge with Thee, my Lord! lest they may be present with me. 98 (But the unbelievers will persist) until when death comes to one of them he will say: "O Lord, send me back again 99 haply I shall do righteousness in that I forsook.' Nay, it is but a word he speaks; and there; behind them, is a barrier until the day that they shall be raised up. 100 And when the Horn is blown, on that Day their ties of kindred shall be no more, nor will they ask each other. 101 Therefore the ones whose scales prove heavy – they are the successful. 102 And the ones whose scales prove light – it is they who put their lives into ruin, remaining in hell forever. 103 The Fire will scorch their faces and they will abide therein with their faces distorted. 104 [It will be said]. "Were not My verses recited to you and you used to deny them?" 105 They will say: "Our Lord! Our wretchedness overcame us, and we were (an) erring people. 106 Our Lord, bring us forth out of it! Then, if we revert, we shall be evildoers indeed.' 107 He shall say: Go away into it and speak not to Me; 108 "Behold, there were among My servants such as would pray, 'O our Sustainer! We have come to believe [in Thee]; forgive, then, our sins and bestow Thy mercy on us: for Thou art the truest bestower of mercy!' 109 But you ridiculed them. So much so that out of (spite) for them you forgot to remember Me and laughed at them. 110 Today I shall recompense them for their patience, for it is they that have won. 111 He will say: How long tarried ye in the earth, counting by years? 112 They will say: "A day or less than a day. Ask the enumerators of numbers." 113 He will say: "Ye stayed not but a little,- if ye had only known! 114 Deemed ye then that We had created you for naught, and that ye would not be returned unto Us? 115 Exalted then be God, the King, the Real. There is no god but He, the Lord of the glorious throne. 116 And whosoever calls upon another god with God, whereof he has no proof, his reckoning is with his Lord; surely the unbelievers shall not prosper. 117 And say thou: my Lord! forgive and have mercy, and Thou art the Best of the merciful ones. 118
