Q (Qaaf)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
Qaaf. By the Glorious Koran! 1 Nay! they wonder that there has come to them a warner from among themselves, so the unbelievers say: This is a wonderful thing: 2 When we are dead and turned to dust, this returning (to life) is most far-fetched." 3 We know indeed what the earth diminishes of them, and with Us is a writing that preserves. 4 Nay, but they [who refuse to believe in resurrection] have been wont to give the lie to this truth whenever it was proffered to them; and so they are in a state of confusion. 5 Have they not looked at the sky above them, how We have fashioned and adorned it, and it has no flaw? 6 And the earth - We spread it out and cast therein firmly set mountains and made grow therein [something] of every beautiful kind, 7 thus offering an insight and a reminder unto every human being who willingly turns unto God. 8 And We send down from the sky blessed water whereby We give growth unto gardens and the grain of crops, 9 And high date-palms with lush fruit. 10 A provision for (Allah's) slaves. And We give life therewith to a dead land. Thus will be the resurrection (of the dead). 11 Denied before them (i.e. these pagans of Makkah who denied you, O Muhammad SAW) the people of Nuh (Noah), and the dwellers of Rass, and the Thamud, 12 And the tribe of A’ad, and Firaun, and the fellowmen of Lut. 13 And the dwellers in the wood, and the people of Tubba; each one belied the apostles, wherefore fulfilled was My judgement. 14 Were We then worn out by the first creation? Yet they are in doubt about a second creation. 15
