3/4 Hizb 52
< random >
Indeed, We created the human. We know the whisperings of his soul, and are closer to him than the jugular vein. 16 Since the two scribes are sitting on each of his shoulders, he does not utter a word which is not recorded immediately by the watchful scribes. 17 not even a word can he utter but there is a watcher with him, ever-present. 18 And when the agony of death comes in truth (they will say): 'This is what you have been trying to avoid' 19 And the Horn shall be blown; that is the Day of Threat! 20 Everyone has come, each attended by one who will drive him on, and another who will bear witness. 21 Certainly you were heedless of it, but now We have removed from you your veil, so your sight today is sharp. 22 His companion said: “Here is he who was in my charge.” 23 "Cast into Hell every ungrateful, rebellious one, 24 every hinderer of the good, transgressor, disquieter, 25 who has set up another deity beside God: cast him, then, cast him into suffering severe!" 26 ۞ and his associate [Satan] will say, "Lord, I did not make him transgress, he had already gone far astray himself." 27 He shall say, 'Dispute not before Me! For I sent you beforehand -- the threat. 28 The judgment passed by Me shall not be altered; but never do I do the least wrong unto My creatures!" 29

Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
