The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
By those [angels] who extract with violence 1 and those that draw out violently, 2 And by those who float in space, 3 Then outpace the others swiftly 4 and then manage the affairs of the Universe (according to their Lord's commands). 5 On the day when the trembling one will tremble. The disbelievers will certainly taste the punishment. 6 and will be followed by the second one, 7 hearts upon that day shall be athrob 8 Eyes be lowered in submission. 9 They shall say, 'What, are we being restored as we were before? 10 Even after we are crumbled bones? 11 They will say: 'Then we are returned lost' 12 So that is not but a single shout. 13 And lo! they all shall appear on the surface. 14 Hath there come unto thee the history of Moses? 15 When his Lord called to him in the sacred valley of Tuwa, 16 saying, "Go to the Pharaoh. He has transgressed beyond all bounds. 17 And say, "Hast thou the will to purify thyself; 18 And let me guide you to your Lord so you would fear [Him]?'" 19 And thereupon he [went to Pharaoh and] made him aware of the great wonder [of God's grace]. 20 but he denied it as false and disobeyed, 21 and then he turned back to have recourse to his craftiness, 22 Then he gathered and cried aloud, 23 and said, "I am your Lord All-Highest!" 24 Wherefore Allah laid hold of him with the punishment of the Hereafter and of the present. 25 Verily in this is an instructive warning for whosoever feareth (Allah). 26
