The Bee (Al-nahl)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
۞ Allah's judgement has (all but) come; do not, then, call for its speedy advent. Holy is He, and far above their associating others with Him in His Divinity. 1 He sendeth down the angels with the spirit by His command upon whomsoever of his bondmen He willeth: warn that there is no god but I, wherefore fear Me. 2 He hath created the heavens and the earth with a purpose. Exalted is He above that which they associate. 3 Man He created from a drop of semen; and still he becomes an open contender. 4 And He creates cattle: you derive warmth from them, and [various other] uses; and from them you obtain food; 5 And for you there is beauty in them as ye drive them at eventide and as ye drive them out to pasture. 6 and they carry your loads to many a place which you would be unable to reach without much hardship. Surely your Lord is Intensely Loving, Most Merciful. 7 And He hath created horses and mules and asses that ye may ride there on, and as an adornment; and He createth that which ye know not. 8 To God leads the right path, though some deviate. If He willed He could guide you all to the right way. 9
