Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
60 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Dunes (Al-Ahqaaf) before Overwhelming (Al-Ghaasheyah)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the (Winds) that scatter broadcast; 1 And those [clouds] carrying a load [of water] 2 which then smoothly speed along, 3 and the partitioners, 4 Verily the promise made to you is true: 5 and the Day of Judgment will inevitably take place. 6 By the heaven full of paths. 7 surely, you are in different sayings, 8 Through which are deluded (away from the Truth) such as would be deluded. 9 Slain be those who mould from their imaginations. 10 Who are careless in an abyss! 11 They ask, "When it will be the Day of Judgment?" 12 It will be the Day when they shall be scourged by the Fire 13 "Taste your trial. This is what you sought to hasten." 14 As to the Righteous, they will be in the midst of Gardens and Springs, 15 receiving their reward from their Lord. They had been righteous people before the Day of Judgment. 16 they would lie asleep during but a small part of the night, 17 praying at dawn for God's pardon, 18 And in their wealth the beggar and the outcast had due share. 19 In the earth are signs for those having sure faith; 20 and also in your own selves. Do you not see? 21 And in heaven is your provision, and that you are promised. 22 This, by the Lord of the heavens and the earth is as certain as your ability to speak. 23

When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
