Animals (Al-An 'aam)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
All praises and thanks be to Allah, Who (Alone) created the heavens and the earth, and originated the darkness and the light, yet those who disbelieve hold others as equal with their Lord. 1 It is He who created you from clay then determined a term (of life) for you, and a term (is fixed) with Him. Even then you doubt. 2 And He is Allah (to be worshipped Alone) in the heavens and on the earth, He knows what you conceal and what you reveal, and He knows what you earn (good or bad). 3 (The unbelievers) have always turned away from the revelations and the evidence (of the Truth) that has been sent to them from time to time. 4 For they had denied the truth when it came to them, but there is going to reach them the news of what they used to ridicule. 5 Do they not consider how many a generation We have destroyed before them, whom We had established in the earth as We have not established you, and We sent the clouds pouring rain on them in abundance, and We made the rivers to flow beneath them, then We destroyed them on account of their faults and raised up after them another generation. 6 (Muhammad), had We sent you a Book on paper, the unbelievers would have touched it with their hands but would still have said, "It is no more than plain sorcery". 7 And they say: Why has not an angel been sent down to him? And had We sent down an angel, the matter would have certainly been decided and then they would not have been respited. 8 And had we appointed an angel as a Prophet, We would still have made him as a man and would keep them in the same doubt, as they are now in. 9 Messengers (of Allah) have been derided before thee, but that whereat they scoffed surrounded such of them as did deride. 10
