The dwellers of the thicket gave the lie to the apostles. 176 Behold, Shu'aib said to them: "Will ye not fear (Allah)? 177 I am a trustworthy messenger to you: 178 So fear Allah, and obey me. 179 "No reward do I ask of you for it (my Message of Islamic Monotheism), my reward is only from the Lord of the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists). 180 ۞ "[Always] give full measure, and be not among those who [unjustly] cause loss [to others]; 181 and [in all your dealings] weigh with a true balance, 182 "And defraud not people by reducing their things, nor do evil, making corruption and mischief in the land. 183 And fear He who created you and the former creation." 184 They said: Thou art but one of the bewitched; 185 thou art naught but a mortal, like us; indeed, we think that thou art one of the liars. 186 So cause a fragment of the sky to fall on us, if you are truthful." 187 He. said: My Lord is the Best Knower of that which ye work. 188 But they called him a liar, so the punishment of the day of covering overtook them; surely it was the punishment of a grievous day. 189 Verily in this was a sign, but most of them do not believe. 190 Yet verily your Lord is mighty and merciful. 191
