Q (Qaaf)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
Qaf. By the glorious Qur'an. 1 Indeed, they are astonished that a warner should have come to them from among themselves. So these deniers of the truth say, "This is indeed a strange thing, 2 "When we are dead and have become dust (shall we be resurrected?) That is a far return." 3 Well do We know how the earth consumes their bodies, for with Us is a record unfailing. 4 Nay, but they have denied the truth (this Quran) when it has come to them, so they are in a confused state (can not differentiate between right and wrong). 5 What, have they never observed the heaven above them, (and seen) how We built and adorned it, leaving no crack? 6 And the earth have We spread out, and have flung firm hills therein, and have caused of every lovely kind to grow thereon, 7 As instruction and reminder to every penitent creature. 8 We sent down blessed water from the sky with which We caused gardens and the grains of harvest to grow, 9 and tall palm-trees with clusters of dates 10 all this as sustenance for Our servants. And thus We do bring the dead land back to life with water. Such shall be the coming forth (of human beings from the earth). 11 Before them, the people of Noah and the people of Rass denied this truth; and so did the people of Thamud. 12 And Ad and Firon and Lut's brethren, 13 the dwellers of the Thicket and the nation of Tubba', all belied their Messengers, therefore My threat was realized. 14 Could We, then, be [thought of as being] worn out by the first creation? Nay - but some people are [still] lost in doubt about [the possibility of] a new creation! 15
