Kingship (Al-Mulk)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
۞ Blessed be He in Whose hands is Dominion; and He over all things hath Power;- 1 He who has created death as well as life, so that He might put you to a test [and thus show] which of you is best in conduct, and [make you realize that] He alone is almighty, truly forgiving. 2 Who hath created seven heavens in harmony. Thou (Muhammad) canst see no fault in the Beneficent One's creation; then look again: Canst thou see any rifts? 3 Look twice (and keep on looking), your eyes will only become dull and tired. 4 And indeed We have adorned the nearest heaven with lamps, and We have made such lamps (as) missiles to drive away the Shayatin (devils), and have prepared for them the torment of the blazing Fire. 5 For those who believe not in their Lord there is the punishment of Hell; and what a wretched destination 6 When they are flung therein they hear its roaring as it boileth up, 7 well-nigh bursting with fury; [and] every time a host [of such sinners] is flung into it, its keepers will ask them, "Has no warner ever come to you?" 8 They will say, “Yes, why not – indeed a Herald of Warning did come to us – in response we denied and said ‘Allah has not sent down anything – you are not except in a great error’.” 9 And they will then say: 'If only we had listened and understood we should not now be among the inhabitants of the Blaze' 10 They will then confess their sins: but far will be (Forgiveness) from the Companions of the Blazing Fire! 11 Indeed for those who fear their Lord without seeing is forgiveness, and a great reward. 12 And whather ye keep your discourse secret or publish it, verily He is the Knower of that which is in the breasts. 13 How could it be that He who has created [all] should not know [all]? Yea, He alone is unfathomable [in His wisdom,] aware! 14
