The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
CONSIDER the sky full of great constellations, 1 And the promised day, 2 by the witness and the witnessed, 3 That accursed are the men of the trench 4 Of the fire (kept burning) with fuel, 5 Lo! [With glee do] they contemplate that [fire,] 6 and were themselves witnesses of what they did with the believers. 7 They had no other reason for hating them except that they believed in God the mighty, worthy of praise, 8 To whom belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth. And Allah, over all things, is Witness. 9 Surely (as for) those who persecute the believing men and the believing women, then do not repent, they shall have the chastisement of hell, and they shall have the chastisement of burning. 10 Surely (as for) those who believe and do good, they shall have gardens beneath which rivers flow, that is the great achievement. 11 Truly strong is the Grip (and Power) of thy Lord. 12 Indeed it is He Who initiates and redoes. 13 And He is the Forgiving, the Affectionate, 14 Owner of the throne, the Glorious 15 Executor of His own will. 16 Has the story of the hordes 17 of Pharaoh and of Thamood? 18 Yet those who deny the truth persist in denial. 19 And Allah, all unseen, surroundeth them. 20 But this is an honored Qur'an 21 inscribed on a well-guarded Tablet. 22
