Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By (the winds) that scatter dust. 1 And those that bear the burden (of the rain) 2 and those that speed along with gentle ease, 3 by the angels which distribute the affairs, 4 indeed, that which you are promised is true, 5 And indeed, the recompense is to occur. 6 By the heaven with its passages, 7 surely you are at variance (about the Hereafter); 8 From which only he turns who is turned away. 9 Cursed be the liars, 10 and who wander in the abyss of confusion. 11 They ask: When is the Day of Judgment? 12 (It is) the day when they will be tormented at the Fire, 13 (and be told): “Taste your ordeal! This is what you were seeking to hasten.” 14 Verily the God-fearing will be amid Gardens and water-springs. 15 Taking what their Lord gives them; surely they were before that, the doers of good. 16 They used to sleep only a little during the night. 17 and asked for forgiveness in the early morning. 18 and in their wealth there was a rightful share for him who would ask and for the destitute. 19 And on the earth are signs for those who have Faith with certainty, 20 And also in your own selves. Behold ye not? 21 In the sky is your provision and that which you are promised. 22 So, by the Lord of the heaven and the earth, this is certainly true, as true as the fact of your speaking. 23
