The All Compassionate (Al-Rahman)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
۞ THE MOST GRACIOUS 1 Has taught the Qur’an to His beloved Prophet (Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him). 2 has created man, 3 [And] taught him eloquence. 4 The sun and the moon follow a reckoning, 5 the stars and the trees bend in prostration. 6 And the heaven, He raised it high, and He made the balance 7 Do not transgress the scales. 8 Always measure with justice and do not give short measure. 9 It is He Who has spread out the earth for (His) creatures: 10 Therein is fruit and palms having sheathed clusters, 11 grain with its husk and aromatic herbs. 12 Which, then, of your Sustainer's powers can you disavow? 13 He created man of a clay like the potter's, 14 And the jinn did He create of smokeless fire. 15 Which of your Lord's wonders would you deny? 16 He is Lord of the two easts and Lord of the two wests. 17 Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinns and men) deny? 18 He has set the two oceans in motion, converging together. 19 In-between the twain is a barrier which they pass not. 20 Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny? 21 From these seas come forth pearls and coral. 22 Which of the wonders of your Lord's power will you twain – you men and jinn – then deny? 23 Also, His are the ships that run, raised up like mountains upon the sea. 24 Which favors of your Lord will you both belie? 25
