(Moses) said: My Lord! relieve my mind 25 And make my mission easy. 26 and my tongue fluent 27 so that they may understand me. 28 And give me as assistant from my family 29 Harun, my brother. 30 “Back me up with him.” 31 And associate him (with me) in my affair, 32 That we may glorify Thee much 33 and remember you often. 34 “Indeed You see us.” 35 God said, "You have been granted your request, Moses." 36 Indeed, We showed Our favour to you before also, 37 Remember when We inspired your mother with a certain inspiration 38 'Put him in a wooden box and cast it in the river. The river will cast it on the bank. An enemy of Ours, and his, will retrieve it.' We bestowed Our love on you that you may be reared under Our eyes. 39 Your sister went (to them) and said: 'Shall I guide you to one who will nurse him' And so We restored you to your mother, so that her eyes might rejoice and that she might not sorrow. And when you killed a soul We saved you from grief and then We tried you with many trials. You stayed among the people of Midian for a number of years, and then, Moses, you came here according to a decree. 40 “And I created you especially for Myself.” 41 go therefore, thou and thy brother; with My signs, and neglect not to remember Me. 42 Go, both of you to Pharaoh, for he has transgressed all bounds. 43 Speak to him gently. He may possibly take heed or may come to have fear." 44 'O our Lord,' said Moses and Aaron, 'truly we fear he may exceed against us, or wax insolent.' 45 Answered He: "Fear not! Verily, I shall be with you two, hearing and seeing [all]. 46 "So go you both to him, and say: 'Verily, we are Messengers of your Lord, so let the Children of Israel go with us, and torment them not; indeed, we have come with a sign from your Lord! And peace will be upon him who follows the guidance! 47 It has been revealed to us that chastisement awaits those who called the lie to the truth and turned away from it.' " 48 Said Firaun, “So who is the Lord of you both, O Moosa?” 49 He said: "Our Lord is He Who gave everything its form and then guided it." 50 [Fir'aun (Pharaoh)] said: "What about the generations of old?" 51 Said Moses, 'The knowledge of them is with my Lord, in a Book; my Lord goes not astray, nor forgets -- 52 The One Who has made the earth a bed for you and kept operative roads for you in it and sent down water from the sky; so with it We produced different pairs of vegetation. 53 so eat and graze your cattle. In this there are signs for men of understanding. 54
