The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
By those who set the ranks in battle order 1 And those who drive [the clouds] 2 And those who recite the Reminder, 3 Verily your God is One, 4 the Lord of the heavens and the earth and of all that is between them; the Lord of the Easts. 5 Lo! We have adorned the lowest heaven with an ornament, the planets; 6 Protecting them against every wayward devil, 7 they cannot overhear the Higher Assembly for they are pelted from every side, 8 rejected, and theirs is an everlasting chastisement, 9 except such as snatches a fragment, and he is pursued by a piercing flame. 10 So ask them, are they stronger in constitution, or those whom We have created. We have created them of sticky clay. 11 Nay! you wonder while they mock, 12 and, when reminded, do not remember 13 and whenever they see some sign, they ridicule it, 14 and say: 'This is nothing but clear sorcery' 15 When we have died and become dust and bones, are we indeed to be resurrected? 16 And so also shall our forefathers of yore be raised to life?” 17 Say thou: and verily ye; shall then be despicable. 18 It shall be but one shout, lo! they shall be staring. 19 And will say, “O our misfortune!” It will be said to them, “This is the Day of Justice.” 20 This is the Day of Decision which you belied. 21
