We were indeed gracious to Moses and Aaron, 114 And saved them and their people from great distress, 115 And helped them, so they were victorious. 116 And We gave them the explicit Scripture, 117 and guided them upon the Straight Path. 118 And left (their remembrance) for posterity. 119 Peace be on Musa and Haroun. 120 Thus do We reward the doers of good 121 they were among Our believing servants. 122 Elijah too was one of the messengers. 123 When he said to his people: "Will you not be mindful of God? 124 “What! You worship Baal (an idol) and leave the Best Creator?” – 125 who is your Lord and the Lord of your forefathers?" 126 But they denied him, so they surely will be haled forth (to the doom) 127 Except the bondmen of Allah sincere. 128 And We left (this blessing) for him among generations (to come) in later times: 129 Peace be on Ilyas. 130 Verily We! thus We recompense the well-doers. 131 He was among Our believing worshipers. 132 And Lot too was one of the Messengers. 133 We rescued him and his whole family, 134 Save an old woman among the lingerers. 135 Then We destroyed the rest. 136 And most surely you pass by them in the morning, 137 And at night. Then will you not use reason? 138
