The folk of Lot denied the messengers (of Allah), 160 When their brother Lut said unto them: fear ye not? 161 Indeed, I am to you a trustworthy messenger. 162 So fear Allah and obey me. 163 I ask of you no wage for this; my wage is only with the Lord of the Worlds. 164 Go ye in, of all creatures, unto the males? 165 instead of your wives, whom your Lord has created specially for you? You are a transgressing people." 166 They said: if thou desistest not, O Lut! thou shalt surely be of those driven forth. 167 He said, "I am one of those who abhors your ways. 168 My Lord! Save me and my household from what they do. 169 Then We delivered him and all his family 170 Except one old woman, who stayed behind. 171 Thereafter We annihilated the rest. 172 And We rained down upon them a rain, and evil was the rain on those warned. 173 Indeed in that is a sign, but most of them were not to be believers. 174 Verily Your Lord is Immensely Mighty, Most Compassionate. 175
