[AND] the dwellers of the wooded dales [of Madyan] gave the lie to [one of God's] message-bearers 176 When Shuaib said to all of them, “Do you not fear?” 177 "I am a trustworthy Messenger to you. 178 be, then, conscious of God, and pay heed unto me! 179 And I do not ask you any reward for it, my reward is only with the Lord of the worlds; 180 ۞ Give full measure and do not cheat; 181 And weigh (things) with a right balance, 182 And do not withhold from people what belongs to them, and do not corrupt the land; 183 So fear Him Who created you and the former generations. 184 They said: thou art but of the bewitched; 185 “You are just a human like us, and indeed we consider you a liar.” 186 "Now cause a piece of the sky to fall on us, if thou art truthful!" 187 (Shu'aib) said: "My Lord knows well what you are doing." 188 But they called him a liar, so the punishment of the day of covering overtook them; surely it was the punishment of a grievous day. 189 Verily in this was a sign, but most of them do not believe. 190 Verily Your Lord is Immensely Mighty, Most Compassionate. 191
