Nay, by the moon, 32 And the night when it departs, 33 and by the day when it dawns (with its radiance), 34 Verily, it (Hell, or their denial of the Prophet Muhammad SAW, or the Day of Resurrection) is but one of the greatest calamities. 35 A warning to mankind, 36 A warning unto him of you who shall go forward or who chooseth to lag behind. 37 Each soul is held in pledge for what it earns, 38 Except those of the right hand 39 (They will be) in Gardens (of Delight): they will question each other, 40 About the criminals, 41 “What took you into the hell?” 42 They will say: "We were not of those who prayed; 43 "Nor we used to feed Al-Miskin (the poor); 44 We used to wade (in vain dispute) with (all) waders, 45 "And we used to belie the Day of Recompense 46 “Till death overcame us.” 47 The mediation of no mediators will avail them then. 48 Why then do they turn away from the admonition 49 As if they were affrighted asses, 50 Fleeing away from a lion. 51 Indeed, everyone of them desires to have sheets of revelations unfolded before them -- 52 Nay, verily. They fear not the Hereafter. 53 No! Indeed, the Qur'an is a reminder 54 Let any who will, keep it in remembrance! 55 But they will not benefit from it unless Allah Himself so wills. He is worthy to be feared; and He is worthy to forgive (those that fear Him). 56
